CCC Confer Downloadable Job Aids Now Available
New job aids that provide step-by-step instruction on using CCC Confer are now available. The downloadable .PDF files were created to train faculty to use CCC Confer to make synchronous and asynchronous video for their courses. The .PDF files are chunked into short modules and conniver all of the necessary topics instructors will need to get started.

Simplified Web Video Conferencing Presentation
Michael Cooperman is scheduled to make a presentation titled “Simplified Web Video Conferencing” at the annual Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee (BESAC) conference in San Diego, on Friday, April 20, 2012. The presentation will summarize the work he completed on a project to design and develop instructional videos and job aids to train faculty to use web video conferencing software to produce instructional video. Michael Cooperman wins Best Conference Presentation Award!
Michael Cooperman was awarded “Best Conference Presentation” for the second year in a row at the annual 2011 BESAC conference in Sacramento, California. His presentation titled “Using inexpensive or existing gadgets to create instructional video” described how instructors can use the cameras they already own in their phones, iPods, computers, etc. to create ADA compliant instructional video. The presentation summarized the results of a series of workshops that he delivered during February – March 2011 where he demonstrated the process of shooting video, importing footage into the computer, and using YouTube to edit, upload, and caption the video. The two-day conference consisted of many presentations on a variety of topics, and attendees voted for their favorites after each.

Creating Instructional Media Conference Presentation
Michael will make a presentation on “Creating ADA Compliant Instructional Media with Inexpensive Gadgets” at the annual Business Education Statewide Advisory Committee (BESAC) Conference in Sacramento, California. He won the award for “Best Conference Presentation” in 2010 for his presentation on using “Social Media in Education” and is planning another “motivational” presentation that will “hopefully get instructors excited about using technology they already own.” His presentation will show how an instructor can easily shoot, edit, upload and caption video for free. Michael Cooperman won the Best Conference Presentation Award for his Social Media in Education Presentation!
Conference attendees voted Michael Cooperman’s presentation on using “Social Media in Education”
as the “Best Conference Presentation” at the annual 2011 BESAC conference in Costa Mesa, California.
The presentation was based on his findings from a small research study he conducted on using social media for instructional delivery. The project ran from January – April 2010 and included both students and faculty. His presentation summarized the results of the project and described the ways that faculty can use Social Media in their classes.
